Treating Fine Lines and Wrinkles (Part 2)

How do we control aging? How can we prevent lines and wrinkles from forming on our face? And finally, can we reverse the lines and wrinkles that we already have? We need to start with the basics which are sun block, topical antioxidants (to prevent free radical damage), and a good home care regimen that will help reverse the already visible signs of aging. Those are basics, but for those of us that want to pull out the “bigger guns” (so to speak), we go get laser treatments done. There are so many laser options, many people get confused about where they should begin….

Check back in a few days to learn which zero downtime skin laser I recommend. Do you have questions about a home skin care regimen? I'll be writing about the topic on this blog soon. In the meantime, you can learn more about the quality face products I offer on my website www.TimeToRevitalize.com!

Treating Fine Lines and Wrinkles (Part 1)

As far back as my career in skin care goes, there isn’t a single day that goes by that the word wrinkle doesn’t come out of my own or one of my clients’ mouths. Wrinkles or static lines on our face are one of the many signs that our skin is, in fact, aging.  As with any of the signs of aging skin, there are many contributing factors to how fast we age. All of the brilliant scientists in the world continue to work feverishly to find the one reason. And all still seem to agree on a few major contributors: sun exposure, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, excessive stress, and of course, your genes. The great news is that because of all of those people working to discover a modern day, high-tech fountain of youth, we have come a very long way. All you have to do is look at a picture of your own mom or grandma when they were the age you are now, and look at how much better we look now. What that tells us is that the pendulum has shifted; age being more extrinsic versus intrinsic (one's genes). Or shall I say that we are so much more aware of how to control and slow extrinsic aging. When my career began about 14 years ago, it was thought that 80 percent of how we age was genetically controlled, leaving only 20 percent within our control. The number over all these years has shifted to 20 percent genetic, to 80 percent extrinsic. ISN’T THAT GREAT NEWS?

Check back next week for the continuation of this blog post and, in the meantime, feel free to ask any type of skin care question you can think of. Just As Effective As Laser Treatment But At A Fraction Of The Cost?

The Dermaroller utilizes the Microneedle Therapy System which is a perfect non-surgical, non-ablative option for the effective treatment of many common skin conditions including acne and surgical scarring, hyperpigmentation and wrinkles / stretching brought upon by aging.

Dermarollers have been shown in clinical studies to be more effective than treatments like chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. It has also be shown to be just as effective as IPL, CO2 Laser and Fraxel in its ability to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This process thickens the skin and erases wrinkles and smoothes down scarring.

Here are 3 advantages to using a Dermaroller:

  1. It will perform the same job as a laser by increasing the skin's production of collagen with MINIMAL damage to the skin's protective layers
  2. It is just as effective as machine-based treatments which include IPL, Thermage, and Lasers but comes in at a fraction of the cost to patients
  3. Dermarollers are SAFE. When we say "non-surgical" and "non-ablative" it means "forgiving" and "skin-friendly." You will experience little or no pain, downtime and risk of complications!
If staying on a budget and keeping your skin looking vibrant is important to you, the Dermaroller may be the answer you've been looking for. You can find one at www.TimeToRevitalize.com today.
